I like the base for this advice, but restricting certain foods and labeling them as bad is going to lead to feelings of being out of control with food. Overeating tends to be a symptom of a dieting culture which focuses on food restriction but inevitably leads to binging. The goal should be proper balance, which means not seeing foods as “good” or “bad.” This philosophy might lead to some overindulging at first, but your body knows what it needs at the end of the day and listening to my body is the most important part. Yes, add the avocado and the nuts and the fruits and veggies, but don’t deny yourself the meatballs and French fries! You’ll just end up craving them more and more. Let yourself have the meatball sub without the guilt and you’ll be less inclined to want to go back again and again.
